The City of Altoona Announces the Altoona Frosty Fun Series
ALTOONA, WI - The City of Altoona is excited to announce the Altoona Frosty Fun Series, a series of community events showcasing outdoor winter recreation opportunities. The Cities of Altoona and Eau Claire have been working collaboratively on the Wintermission Initiative to implement pilot projects based on community feedback that aim to shift public perception towards winter and get more people of all ages actively embracing social opportunities and public spaces during the winter. The Altoona Frosty Fun Series is possible due to a Cultural Arts Grant the City of Altoona received from Visit Eau Claire and the Wisconsin Arts Board.
Confirmed Altoona Frosty Fun Series events include:
- Candle Light Snowshoe Hike
- Location: Centennial Park
- Date/Time: Saturday, January 18th from 5 to 8PM
- Presented by CORBA, WNB Financial and Altoona Parks and Recreation

- Location: Jelly Bean Hill, End of McCann Dr. near Altoona Family Restaurant
