ALTOONA, WI - The City of Altoona is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Altoona Frosty Fun Series, a series of community events showcasing outdoor winter recreation opportunities. The Cities of Altoona and Eau Claire have been working collaboratively on the Wintermission Initiative to implement pilot projects based off of community feedback that aim to shift public perception towards winter and get more people of all ages actively embracing social opportunities and public spaces during the winter. The Altoona Frosty Fun Series is possible due to a Cultural Arts Grant the City of Altoona received from Visit Eau Claire and the Wisconsin Arts Board.
